Jeffrey B. Huebsch
Jeffrey B. Huebsch concentrates in workers' compensation defense, general civil litigation and insurance defense litigation. Mr. Huebsch has defended employers before the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission and reviewing courts for over 15 years. This has included the investigation of claims, counseling, coordination of medical and legal elements of cases and trial and appellate practice at all levels from medical evidence depositions to the Appellate Court.
Mr. Huebsch's general civil litigation practice includes all areas of litigation from investigation and discovery to the trial and appellate levels in Federal and Illinois courts. His insurance defense practice includes the defense of municipal entities and employees in bodily injury and civil rights cases, the representation of physicians and nurses in professional liability cases and the representation of employers in employer's liability and employment related discrimination claims.
Mr. Huebsch earned a B.A. degree in Political Science from North Central College in 1980. He received his Juris Doctor degree from I.I.T./Chicago-Kent College of Law, with high honors, in 1984. Mr. Huebsch earned academic scholarships in both college and law school. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November of 1984, the Bar of the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois in 1984, and the Federal Trial Bar in 1989. Mr. Huebsch was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in 1989. He was admitted to the Bar of Wisconsin in 1989, and the Bar of the United States District Court, Central District of Illinois, in 1993.
Mr. Huebsch is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, the Wisconsin State Bar Association, the Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association and the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. He is a Certified Chairperson Arbitrator for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit of Illinois and has served as an Arbitrator there since 1990. Mr. Huebsch has served as a lecturer and instructor regarding workers' compensation and tort law issues on many occasions.
