Daniel J. Cronin
Daniel J. Cronin concentrates his practice of law in the area of litigation defense, with a special interest in the areas of medical negligence and workers' compensation. In addition, Mr. Cronin has represented the west-suburban 39th District of Illinois in the Illinois State Senate since 1992, having been re-elected most recently in November 2000. As part of his Senate responsibilities, Mr. Cronin chairs the Education committee, and also serves on the Commerce and Industry, and Judiciary committees.
Mr. Cronin is a life-long resident of Elmhurst, Illinois and received his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University, before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the Loyola University School of Law in 1986. He was licensed to practice in Illinois in 1986, and served as an Assistant State's Attorney in DuPage County from 1987 to 1989, prosecuting cases in the felony, misdemeanor and traffic divisions, including jury prosecutions to verdict.
Mr. Cronin has been a partner with Power & Cronin since 1993. In that time, he has participated in numerous forums and seminars on issues of tort litigation and workers' compensation law. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Cronin serves on the Board of Directors of both the Community Bank of Elmhurst and Fenwick High School. In addition to his duties as a State Senator, he is a York Township Republican Committeeman, and he was a delegate to the 2000 National Republican Convention in Philadelphia.
