John P. Fassola
John P. Fassola practices in the areas of litigation defense and insurance defense, with a specific concentration in medical negligence defense and workers' compensation defense. His jury trial experience also includes auto liability defense and municipal defense.
Mr. Fassola was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, and earned his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University, graduating with high honors in 1989 with a B.A. in International Relations and Minors in History and German. Mr. Fassola earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law, graduating with honors in 1992.
He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1992, and has subsequently gained admission to the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois, the Northern District of Indiana, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
After practicing law in Central Illinois for three years, with an emphasis on insurance defense, Mr. Fassola became associated with Power & Cronin in 1995. In addition to litigation in the Circuit Courts and before the Industrial Commission, his experience includes appellate practice before the First, Second, Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeals.
Mr. Fassola became a partner with the firm in 2002.
Mr. Fassola is a member of the Illinois Bar Association. He is also an active member of the Justinian Society and the N.I.U. Alumni Association, and he participates in Alumni-Student workshops and seminars with the University of Illinois College of Law.
