Patrick A. Tallon
Patrick A. Tallon began his career in the Worker’s Compensation field in 1973 when he was appointed Assistant to the Chairman of the Illinois Industrial Commission, predecessor of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. He left state government in 1978 and entered private practice before the Illinois Worker’s Compensation Commission.
Mr. Tallon has been a lecturer and author on Workers’ Compensation for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and has for many decades, published the “Illinois Workers’ Compensation Disability Impairment Conversion Table”, a highly sought after reference guide used by Arbitrators, Commissioners, workers’ compensation insurance carriers, Third Party Administrators and Commission practitioners.
Mr. Tallon was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and earned his undergraduate degree from Lewis University and his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Tallon was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1978, the Iowa Bar in 1984 and the United States Supreme Court in 1984.
Mr. Tallon is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. He is a licensed Illinois Managing Real Estate Broker, a licensed Airline Transport Pilot and is a Certified Flight Instructor.
Mr. Tallon practices in the area of workers’ compensation defense, with over 40 years of experience handling cases before arbitrators of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, as well as handling appeals before the Commission, Circuit Courts and Appellate Court throughout the state. His practice has also included hearings before the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication & Review.
