Daniel J. Artman specializes in insurance defense litigation with a concentration in workers’ compensation defense. Mr. Artman began his legal career at Pollina and Earl, where he practiced insurance defense litigation, personal injury defense and litigation regarding insurance coverage issues. There, he tried several cases both before Judges and juries in the Circuit Court of Cook County. In addition, he tried over 125 cases in the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program and before the American Arbitration Association. Since joining Power and Cronin in 1999, Mr. Artman has focused on representing employers before the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission, as well as in Circuit and Appellate Courts. In his over 20 years of practice Mr. Artman has navigated complex legal and medical issues to the benefit of his clients with an efficient, yet thorough approach. Recently, Mr. Artman has also developed a residential real estate practice.

Mr. Artman was born in Chicago. He attended DePaul University where he was on the Dean’s List, won the Political Science Departmental Award as outstanding graduating senior, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science in 1993. In 1996, he earned his Juris Doctorate degree from DePaul University College of Law and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1997.

Mr. Artman and his family currently reside in Hanover Park Illinois. In his free time he can often be found playing, watching or refereeing soccer games. He is also the Chairman of the District 211 Foundation Board of Trustees
